Welcome to the Wonderful Museum, the only place where everyone is a curator.

The Wonderful Museum provides an affordable and innovative inquiry based K-12 education framework grounded in the Next Generation Science Standards. Students of all ages enjoy learning about science concepts in a hands on way by building their own museums with specimens that they have collected and researched themselves.  Our flexible framework can be easily incorporated into the lessons that you are already teaching to keep science fun, engaging, and rigorous.  With Wonderful Museum educational materials, your students will quickly grasp core and crosscutting science concepts while carrying out the same kind of research activities that real scientists practice every day.  They’ll start asking their own questions and running experiments to get the answers.  And by constructing their own exhibits, your students will gain confidence while learning important visual, written, and oral communication skills.  See below to find out how you can bring the adventure that is the Wonderful Museum to your classroom.

 

What is this website for?

This blog is primarily a resource for students already using the Wonderful Museum in their classrooms who want to know how to make their class projects better. But if you just stumbled here from somewhere on the web, feel free to use this site to make your own dioramas or school projects really stand out. We regularly post free tutorials in response to frequently asked student questions like “How can I make an impressive entrance for my museum?”, “How should I label my specimens?”, and “What is the best way to preserve leaves?”.
